Jaafar Jackson on Hardest Dance Moves in Michael Biopic

Michael Jackson remains one of the most iconic pop stars in history, and his legacy continues to thrive. His nephew, Jaafar Jackson, stars in the upcoming biopic titled 'Michael', which celebrates the King of Pop's life and career.

Jaafar Jackson on Learning Michael's Dance Moves

In a recent interview with Access Hollywood at the premiere of 'Michael', Jaafar discussed the challenges of portraying his famous uncle. He revealed that mastering Michael's signature dance moves was particularly difficult. 'Definitely the spins, which I was struggling with the most out of all the moves,' Jaafar said. He also emphasized the importance of stamina during filming: 'Building the stamina was difficult, and making sure that take one and take 25 still have the same energy.'

Hardest Musical Performance to Recreate

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Jaafar identified the 'Billy Jean' performance from Motown 25 as the most challenging scene. 'I would say probably Billy Jean, Motown 25,' he stated. He aimed for accuracy while avoiding mere mimicry: 'Trying to stick to that, you know, frame by frame, but also not coming across as just trying to mimic but still embodying the performance and being believable while sticking to that structure. That was a challenge, you know, hitting every moment, every beat. Also having the energy and the showmanship behind the moves, too, which was a challenge.'
