The four-part docuseries Hulk Hogan: The Real American offers fans a fresh perspective on the life of the late WWE icon. Before his sudden death from a heart attack last year, Hogan recorded what is now considered his final interview for the documentary. In it, he candidly discussed his addiction, rise to fame, family life, and his separation from ex-wife Linda. One segment revealed what he called the happiest moment of his life.
Hulk Hogan on the Happiest Moment of His Life
While reflecting on his life and family, Hogan shared that his fondest memories date back to the 1980s, when he was raising his daughter, Brooke Hogan, and son, Nick Hogan, with his then-wife Linda. He recalled having frequent flashbacks to those years in the time leading up to his passing.
“That was probably the happiest I’ve ever been,” Hogan said. “My whole reason for living changed instantly. I had no idea that my whole focus would change to try and protect this human being.”
As he spoke, montages of his early fatherhood years played on screen. He also described his excitement upon learning he would have a baby boy, noting that Nick was unplanned and the couple had not discussed having another child.
Linda Hogan Recalls Hulk Hogan as a Father
In the documentary, Linda Hogan reflected on Hogan’s parenting style. “He was always affectionate with the kids. Never forgot to say ‘I love you,’” she shared. Despite their separation after more than 20 years of marriage, Linda and Hogan remained close until his final days, often supporting each other when needed.
The docuseries provides an intimate look at the wrestling legend’s personal life, highlighting the moments that mattered most to him.
