Police Confirmation
"Script writer Utsav Mukherjee has been traced in Delhi, presently residing with his friend," said joint CP (crime) Soma Das Mitra.
On Sunday morning, the director's wife, Moupiya Banerjee, took to social media to announce the news. "Utsav has been traced. He is with a friend, outside Kolkata. I am going there to accompany him back to Kolkata. I do not know anything more at this moment. Please give me some time. I shall let you know the details as and when I know it. I thank each one of you who stood by us, and who showed concern. Please keep us in your prayers," Banerjee posted.
Details of the Discovery
Mukherjee reportedly arrived unexpectedly at the friend's residence on Sunday. The friend informed his wife about his return. Police were also notified, including the Missing Persons Squad at Lalbazar and Anandapur Police Station. Cops confirmed that Mukherjee had been traced and that his wife visited the station on Sunday, where she spoke with him over a video call. "At the station, I realized that Lalbazar had already been informed. Details about his exact location are restricted by police orders. I spoke briefly with Utsav; he was tired and sleeping," she said.
