Daniel Radcliffe, best known for his iconic role in the 'Harry Potter' film franchise, has always maintained a low-key personal life. However, in recent interviews, the actor has opened up about fatherhood, sharing heartwarming anecdotes about his toddler son.
Radcliffe Talks About His Son's 'Brilliant' Moments
In a conversation with E! News, Radcliffe was asked about the brilliant things in his life, tied to his new Broadway show 'Every Brilliant Thing'. He couldn't help but gush about his son. 'My list of brilliant things is entirely comprised of things my son says or does right now,' he said. He described his son's 'weird accent' as a brilliant thing, explaining that the child is caught between his English father and his American surroundings. 'He's just got this great, weird little voice. You can never predict how he's going to say a word,' Radcliffe added.
The actor also linked his Broadway show to his child, noting that he and the playwright discussed how children bring magic to the play. They even considered a sequel, but only if the character had children, because 'thousands of more brilliant things happen when you're with them.'
His Son Doesn't Know He's Famous
In another interview with PEOPLE, Radcliffe revealed that his son has no idea about his father's fame. He shared a funny incident where his son saw him on a TV commercial. 'I had walked out of the room, and suddenly the ad for the show came up... He just goes, 'Dada?' Then he was like, 'Did he leave?' because he thought that I had suddenly appeared on the TV,' Radcliffe recalled. He humorously concluded, 'You know your job is a bulls--- job when you can't describe it to a child.'
Radcliffe shares his son, whose name remains private, with long-time partner Erin Durke. The child turned three in April this year.
