Patna: The Bihar Congress on Friday celebrated the 56th birthday of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi at the party’s state headquarters, Sadaquat Ashram, and hailed his contribution to national politics.

State Congress president Rajesh Ram cut a cake and extended birthday greetings to Rahul. Senior functionaries, party workers, and supporters participated in the celebrations with enthusiasm.

Referring to Rahul’s proposed visit to Patna on July 11, Rajesh said the Congress leader would interact with and mobilize the younger generation on issues affecting them. He emphasized that Rahul Gandhi has emerged as a strong voice for democratic values, social justice, the Constitution, and the rights of common people.
Rajesh added that Rahul has consistently raised concerns related to youth, farmers, workers, women, and marginalized sections of society. He also stated that the Congress has continued its struggle for social harmony, equality, and the protection of democratic institutions.

Among those present were Congress legislative council party functionary Madan Mohan Jha, AICC secretary and Bihar co-in charge Sunil Pasi, and state disciplinary committee chairman Kapildeo Yadav.
