Vadodara: A school fee support initiative led by activist Nishita Rajput has benefited approximately 57,000 girl students over the course of 16 years. A fresh round of assistance was launched on Tuesday, extending support to 71 schoolgirls.
Latest Phase of Support
Rajput began the latest phase by distributing school fees and education kits to the students. Over the years, she has disbursed a total of Rs 6.54 crore towards the education of schoolgirls. Her sustained efforts have earned her several awards and recognition.
Goal for This Year
She stated that her aim for this year is to provide school fees totaling Rs 1 crore to girl students. Rajput motivates donors to contribute cheques for individual students they wish to support. These cheques are then handed over directly to the schools concerned, ensuring transparency. Details of the beneficiaries are shared with the donors, allowing them to see the impact of their contributions.
