The Raja Saab Box Office Day 7: Prabhas Film Holds Steady, Nears Game Changer
Pan-India star Prabhas' latest film, The Raja Saab, has completed its first week in theatres. The horror-comedy opened to mixed reviews and saw a significant drop after a strong opening day. However, the film has now managed to maintain its grip at the box office following the Makar Sankranti 2026 holiday period.
Day 7 Collection Shows Slight Growth
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, The Raja Saab earned ₹5.65 crore net in India on its seventh day. This marks a slight increase from the previous day, when the film collected ₹5.35 crore net on day 6. The growth indicates that the film is finding stability after a turbulent start.
First Week Total Reaches ₹130.40 Crore
The Raja Saab completed its first week at the Indian box office with a total collection of ₹130.40 crore. The film's haul has been driven largely by the original Telugu version. It opened with an impressive ₹53.75 crore on Day 1, after paid previews fetched ₹9.15 crore.
The film witnessed a sharp drop over the weekend and continued to decline through early weekdays. Collections fell by over 50% on Saturday to ₹26 crore. They continued to drop on Monday to ₹6.6 crore and Tuesday to ₹4.8 crore. However, the film remained steady with a modest growth on Wednesday, earning ₹5.35 crore.
Closing in on Game Changer's Record
The Raja Saab is now close to surpassing the India net collection of Ram Charan's Game Changer, which earned ₹131.17 crore. Game Changer, also starring Kiara Advani, was one of the biggest box office flops of last year. Notably, it was also a Makar Sankranti release.
The comparison highlights The Raja Saab's resilience in a competitive market. Despite its early struggles, the film is showing signs of holding its ground. Industry observers are watching to see if it can overtake Game Changer in the coming days.
