According to data from the trade portal Sacnilk, the movie opened with a strong ₹16 crore on its first day, Friday. Its momentum only grew on Saturday, pulling in ₹17 crore, and wrapped up the weekend with an estimated ₹15.35 crore on Sunday.
This impressive haul makes 'Tere Ishk Mein' the biggest opening in Dhanush's Bollywood career to date, surpassing his previous Hindi hits. The film's success is further highlighted by its victory over other major 2025 releases. On its debut day, it outperformed the opening collections of films like 'Jolly LLB 3' (₹12 crore) and 'Sitaare Zameen Par' (₹10.70 crore).
Audience Reception and Film's Allure
Industry trackers reported a healthy nationwide occupancy rate of around 25–26 percent on the first day, with a significant portion of the audience flocking to evening and night shows. This indicates a strong word-of-mouth buzz and high audience engagement.
Directed by the celebrated Aanand L. Rai, the film marks another collaboration between the director and Dhanush.
