Chiranjeevi's Comedy Drama Shines at Box Office with Strong Day 3 Earnings
Megastar Chiranjeevi's latest film, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, continues to impress audiences and critics alike. The comedy family drama has shown remarkable resilience at the box office, especially during the festive Pongal season.
Day 3 Collection Crosses Rs 19 Crore Mark
On its third day of release, the film earned an impressive Rs 19.25 crore. This performance helped push the total domestic collection to Rs 79.6 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. The movie is now inching closer to the Rs 80 crore milestone within just three days.
This strong showing comes after a mixed start. The film opened with a bang, collecting Rs 32.25 crore on day one. However, it experienced a slight dip on day two, earning Rs 18.75 crore. The Makar Sankranti holiday on day three provided a significant boost, driving higher footfalls in theatres.
Theatre Occupancy and Regional Performance
Audience turnout remained robust on Wednesday. Overall theatre occupancy for Telugu shows stood at 60.89%. The breakdown shows morning shows at 36.76%, afternoon shows at 65.37%, evening shows at 71.05%, and night shows at 70.37%.
Regional data highlights strong performance in key markets. In the Hyderabad region, the film had 563 shows with an occupancy rate of 71.75%. Bengaluru recorded 391 shows with a 33.25% occupancy rate, indicating varied audience engagement across cities.
Competition and Fan Engagement
Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu benefits from the Pongal season rush, especially after the postponement of Thalapathy Vijay's Jana Nayagan. However, it faces stiff competition from Prabhas' The Raja Saab, which has already amassed Rs 124.65 crore at the box office.
Director Anil Ravipudi recently announced that deleted scenes from the film will be released on YouTube. This move has generated excitement among fans, who are eagerly awaiting this additional content. The film stars Nayanthara in a lead role and features cameo appearances by Venkatesh, adding to its appeal on social media.
Positive reviews worldwide and strategic holiday timing contribute to the film's success. As it continues its theatrical run, all eyes are on whether it can sustain this momentum and cross further milestones in the coming days.
