Dhurandhar Day 26 Box Office: Rs 11.25 Cr, Eyes Jawan's Rs 1160 Cr Record
Dhurandhar Box Office Day 26: Earns Rs 11.25 Cr

Ranveer Singh's high-octane spy action film Dhurandhar continues its historic box office run, even as its daily collections begin to show a natural slowdown. On its 26th day in theatres, the Aditya Dhar directorial has added another significant sum to its staggering total, inching closer to a major industry milestone.

Steady Collections Amidst Slowdown

According to data from industry tracker Sacnilk, Dhurandhar earned Rs 11.25 crore on its 26th day of release. This takes the film's total domestic (India nett) collection to an impressive Rs 712.5 crore. While the film has started to slow down, with daily earnings now in the Rs 10-15 crore range, its consistency remains remarkable. The film has reportedly managed to earn over Rs 10 crore for 26 consecutive days, a rare feat.

On the worldwide front, the film has crossed the Rs 1100 crore mark, a monumental achievement for a non-multilingual Indian film without a China release. It has already surpassed the global collections of several blockbusters, including Pathaan (Rs 1,055 crore), Stree 2 (Rs 857 crore), Chhaava (Rs 807 crore), and Gadar 2 (Rs 686 crore).

The Final Frontier: Chasing Jawan's Record

The next and most coveted target for Dhurandhar is the worldwide box office record set by Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan, which stands at approximately Rs 1,160 crore. The Ranveer Singh-starrer is now within striking distance of this record, and its performance in the coming weeks will determine if it can claim the top spot.

The film's journey, however, hasn't been without hurdles. As reported, the film faced a ban in the Middle East, which an overseas distributor claimed resulted in a loss of at least $10 million. Despite this, strong performances in markets like North America, which contributed 60% of its $26 million overseas gross, have powered its global run.

Upcoming Competition and Market Dynamics

The road ahead presents new challenges. Dhurandhar is expected to face fresh competition from a slate of upcoming releases in the new year. These include the war drama Ikkis, whose director Sriram Raghavan reportedly pushed its release to avoid clashing with Dhurandhar's momentum, Prabhas's The Raja Saab, and Vijay's Jana Nayagan.

This strategic move highlights the film's dominant hold over the box office. In contrast, the Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday-starrer Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, which chose not to shift its release date, has struggled against competition from both Dhurandhar and Hollywood's Avatar: Fire and Ash.

Directed by Aditya Dhar of Uri: The Surgical Strike fame, Dhurandhar features an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Akshaye Khanna. The film's blend of patriotic action and espionage thriller elements has clearly resonated with audiences across the country and the diaspora, setting the stage for a potential record-breaking finale to its theatrical journey.
