Sunny Deol Set to Join Ranbir Kapoor on Ramayana Sets in April
Amid significant anticipation surrounding director Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming mythological epic 'Ramayana', fresh details have emerged about the sequel's production schedule. Following Ranbir Kapoor's commencement of work on the film earlier this month, new reports confirm that veteran actor Sunny Deol will soon join him on set.
Deol's Busy Schedule: From Action Thriller to Mythological Epic
According to a report from Mid-Day, Sunny Deol is currently in the final stages of shooting for director Balaji Ganesh's untitled action film, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The actor has been engaged in a month-long shoot for this project and is expected to wrap up this schedule imminently.
Once he completes his current commitments, Deol will transition directly to the sets of 'Ramayana: Part 2' in April. The actor is reportedly aiming to complete all his portions as the character Hanuman by the end of the same month, indicating an intensive shooting schedule for the mythological production.
Details About the Untitled Action Film
The action film featuring Sunny Deol is described as a high-octane entertainer with the actor portraying a police officer. Reports indicate Deol will sport a rugged appearance for the role, complete with a distinctive moustache and beard.
Filming for this project began earlier this month with extensive shooting across multiple Mumbai locations. The production commenced with a large-scale action sequence between Deol and co-star Vijay Varma at Film City. Additional shooting has taken place at various locations including:
- A bungalow in Bandra
- A college near Churchgate

Following his 'Ramayana' schedule in April, Deol is expected to return to this action thriller in May for a new shooting schedule planned in Goa. This subsequent schedule is anticipated to conclude in July, marking the completion of principal photography for the untitled action film.
Sunny Deol's Expanding Career Horizons
In addition to his film commitments, Sunny Deol has announced his digital debut in the upcoming courtroom drama 'Ikka'. This project will see him sharing screen space with fellow actor Akshaye Khanna, marking Deol's entry into the OTT platform space.
The entertainment industry continues to follow developments around 'Ramayana' closely, with fans eagerly awaiting further updates about this ambitious mythological adaptation. The combination of Nitesh Tiwari's direction with performances from established stars like Ranbir Kapoor and Sunny Deol has generated substantial excitement within Bollywood circles and among cinema enthusiasts nationwide.
