Sudha Chandran Hits Back at Trolls Over Viral 'Trance' Video: 'I Don't Care'
Sudha Chandran responds to trolls over viral prayer video

Veteran actor and accomplished dancer Sudha Chandran has finally addressed the massive online chatter surrounding a viral video that captured her in a deeply emotional, trance-like state during a prayer meeting. The clip, which spread rapidly across social media platforms earlier this month, showed Chandran visibly overwhelmed, leading to a mix of concern from fans and harsh trolling from critics.

Chandran's Powerful Statement on Devotion and Trolls

In an exclusive conversation with Times Now on January 6, 2026, Sudha Chandran clarified her stance, firmly stating that she feels no need to justify her profound spiritual experience to anyone. She described the moment as one of divine connection and immense blessing.

"It is a moment everyone wants to live in," Chandran expressed. "Maa Shakti aapke andar aake voh energy de rahi hai (Goddess Shakti enters your body and gives you energy). I am one of those blessed souls, and mere zariye logon ko voh blessings mil rahe hai (people are getting blessed through me). It is the happiest moment in my life." She added that she did not mind the video going viral, viewing it as a means to share that blessed energy.

"I Don't Care About Those People": A Direct Message to Trolls

Directly addressing the online trolls who labelled her display as an "oversell" or performance, the Naagin actor was unequivocal. "I am not here to justify. I have my perception towards life. I have certain connections that I respect," she asserted.

Chandran further emphasized, "Mujhe logon se koi lena dena nahi hai. Joh troll karte hai, acchi baat hai, khush rahe apne zindagi mein (I don't care about those people. The ones who are trolling, good for them. Be happy). What about those millions of people who could connect and resonate with it? Mere liye voh important hai (For me, that is important)."

Drawing Strength from Past Adversity

Reflecting on her lifelong journey of resilience, Sudha Chandran recalled the horrific accident in her teenage years that led to the amputation of her leg. She stated that she has never lived her life based on public opinion.

"In my life, I have never thought about 'log kya bolenge' (what will people say). Even after my accident, logon ne kaha tha ki kya bewakoofi kar rahi ho tum (people said I was being foolish for the activities I did). Lekin jab vahi ek success story ban jata hai, log usi ke baare mein charcha karte hai (But once it becomes a success story, people only talk about it)," she remarked, drawing a parallel to the current situation.

Concluding her powerful response, Chandran affirmed the personal nature of devotion. "Devotion is personal. I don't judge or criticise anyone's devotion. I am not answerable to anyone's questions or trolls. I am a self-made woman, and I will continue living my life with dignity, respect and blessings from the divine," she declared. Her statement serves as a strong rebuttal to the negativity while celebrating her spiritual faith and personal fortitude.
