Satinder Sartaaj's hook in the song 'Jaiye Sajana' from the film 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' has become one of the biggest musical talking points of the movie. However, the singer recorded his viral portion in about 15 minutes.
Last-Minute Addition to the Film
The track, featuring Sartaaj and Jasmine Sandlas, came together at the last minute before the film's overseas print had to be sent. Bhushan Kumar revealed that the overwhelming response prompted T-Series to prepare an extended version for listeners.
Satinder Sartaaj's Quick Recording
According to India Today, Bhushan Kumar and Satinder Sartaaj shared insights into how 'Jaiye Sajana' became part of 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge'. Kumar credited director Aditya Dhar and composer Shashwat Sachdev for their precise use of songs in the story. He emphasized that music is a vital component of any film, but its impact depends on the director's visualization. Kumar praised the duo for placing songs across action and emotion, making it difficult for others to replicate such thinking.
Kumar expressed his trust in the team's vision, stating that when Aditya and Shashwat explained the music and vision, he knew it was special. He also noted that Sartaaj's voice transformed the song's impact, describing it as powerful and spiritual.
Extended Version of 'Dhurandhar 2' Song
Sartaaj recounted receiving a call on March 15 while he had a show in Ludhiana. Initially, he did not pay much attention, but upon learning that Shashwat was on the call, he agreed to try. With limited time before the overseas print deadline, Sartaaj heard the track, wrote the line, composed it, sang it, and sent it within 15 minutes. He then shut his studio and proceeded to his concert.
Kumar added that the song did not exist in its current form earlier. After release, it became the album's number one track, leading T-Series to plan a full version. 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge', starring Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, R Madhavan, Manav Gohil, and Gaurav Gera, released on March 19 and has become a major worldwide blockbuster.
