Rajinikanth Kamal Haasan Film Budget Rs 650 Crore

Tamil cinema enthusiasts are abuzz with anticipation for the monumental reunion of legendary actors Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan in director Nelson Dilipkumar's upcoming film, tentatively titled 'KHxRK.' This project has already become one of the most talked-about films in Indian cinema, even before shooting has commenced.

Massive Remuneration for Lead Cast and Director

Apart from bringing together two iconic stars after nearly five decades, the film is generating headlines for its staggering budget and record-breaking salaries. Reports indicate that the lead cast and director alone may collectively receive close to Rs 500 crore as remuneration, making it one of the costliest projects ever planned in Tamil cinema.

Kamal Haasan's Profit-Sharing Model

According to Deccan Chronicle, Kamal Haasan is expected to earn approximately Rs 220 crore through a profit-sharing model. Known for his strong involvement in production and distribution strategies, the actor is reportedly opting for a revenue-sharing agreement instead of a fixed salary. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is said to be earning between Rs 180 crore and Rs 200 crore for this big-budget entertainer. Director Nelson Dilipkumar, who delivered blockbuster films like 'Jailer,' is reportedly charging Rs 70 crore for directing the project.

'KHxRK' Poised to Be Tamil Cinema's Most Expensive Film

The report further suggests that the actual production cost of the film may be around Rs 150 crore to Rs 180 crore. However, when the salaries of the lead stars and director are added, the total estimated budget is expected to cross Rs 650 crore to Rs 700 crore. Backed by a leading production house, the movie is now being described as the most expensive Tamil film ever planned. The project has become even more exciting due to the legendary combination of Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, who last shared screen space together several decades ago.

A Reunion That Has Created Huge Buzz Among Fans

The excitement around the project continues to grow daily across social media. During a recent public event, Kamal Haasan humorously spoke about reuniting with Rajinikanth and said, "We were united long ago, but chose to remain apart because they kept splitting a biscuit and giving us only half each. Now we are content with just half a biscuit." The film will also feature music by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Rajiv Menon. Shooting for the ambitious project is expected to begin later this year, and fans are already counting down to witness two of Indian cinema's biggest icons together on screen once again.

With huge expectations already surrounding the film, fans are calling it a once-in-a-generation cinematic event.
