Kartik Aaryan Back on Kabir Khan's Sets in Kashmir

Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan has been spotted back on the sets of director Kabir Khan’s upcoming untitled film, shooting amidst the scenic landscapes of Kashmir. A video circulating online shows the actor dressed in simple winter attire, blending into the picturesque surroundings of a Kashmiri town. While Kartik has maintained a low profile, reports suggest he is filming for a sports drama inspired by the life of kickboxing champion Tajamul Islam.

Plot and Role Details

According to sources, Kartik Aaryan portrays a kickboxing coach in the film, which traces Tajamul Islam’s extraordinary rise from a small town in Kashmir to becoming India’s youngest kickboxing world champion and the first Kashmiri to win a sub-junior world title. The narrative highlights her journey of grit and determination.

Similar to his previous roles, Kartik has reportedly undergone intense physical training to prepare for the part. The film is expected to feature extensive shooting schedules across Srinagar and Pahalgam, with production aiming to wrap by October 2026 ahead of a planned theatrical release in 2027.

Kabir Khan’s Kashmir Moments

Director Kabir Khan, who has been actively documenting his Kashmir visit, recently shared heartwarming glimpses from the Valley on his social media handle. Posting photos from the region, he wrote, “Walking with my camera in Kashmir always rewards me with magical moments. Like this little girl in Aru who wanted me to tell @smriti_mandhana that she is her favourite player. I hope Smriti gets to see this post.” He added, “Or the boys whose playground has a mountain stream as the boundary. If you hit a 6 the ball will flow all the way down the valley into the Jhelum river.”

Kartik’s Upcoming Projects

Apart from this sports drama, Kartik Aaryan has a packed slate ahead. He will next be seen in Naagzilla, a fantasy creature comedy where he plays a 600-year-old shape-shifting serpent. Originally scheduled for an earlier release, the film has been pushed back to accommodate extensive VFX work and is now slated for a theatrical release on February 12, 2027.
