In a heartfelt revelation, Bollywood actor Jaideep Ahlawat recently opened up about the immense privilege of sharing screen space with the late cinematic icon, Dharmendra, in the upcoming film 'Ikkis'. The actor described this collaboration as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, emphasizing the deep honor he felt.

Speaking to IANS, Jaideep Ahlawat, renowned for his performance in 'Jaane Jaan', did not hold back his admiration. He stated that merely standing in the same frame as the legendary Dharmendra was a moment worthy of being recorded in history. For Jaideep, who belongs to a different era of cinema, working on even a single film with a stalwart like Dharmendra was a monumental event in his life. He expressed a poignant wish, saying he longed to have done five or ten more films with him, a possibility that is now lost.

He further shared that the love and warmth he received from Dharmendra in their brief time together would stay with him forever. Jaideep concluded that his experience was so profound that it needed no further elaboration, and the entire nation would feel the veteran actor's absence.

The film industry and the country were left shattered when Dharmendra passed away on November 24 at the age of 89. On that very day, Jaideep Ahlawat took to his social media to post a deeply emotional message in Hindi. He wrote that there were no words to express his feelings, but he would forever cherish the affection Dharam ji showed him in their short association. He bid farewell, saying, "You will be deeply missed," and referred to him as the one and only 'Jatt Yamla Pagla Deewana'.

It is noteworthy that Dharmendra was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital around mid-November. Later, on November 27, the Deol family organized a prayer meet to honor his life and legacy, which saw attendance from numerous Bollywood celebrities.
