Actress Esha Deol is gearing up to explore a new creative dimension with her upcoming film 'GHUNGHAT', marking her debut in the horror-comedy genre. While she has previously worked in both comedy and horror films separately, this project uniquely blends the two elements into a single narrative.
A Fresh Chapter in Esha's Career
This film represents a new milestone in Esha's acting journey, adding a fresh challenge to her diverse filmography. Known for experimenting with varied roles over the years, 'GHUNGHAT' now becomes the latest addition to her eclectic portfolio. Recently, Esha shared her thoughts on taking up the project, explaining what drew her to the story. As quoted by IANS, she said, "GHUNGHAT is a completely new genre for me to explore. I have always enjoyed being part of comedies and have done horror earlier, but this is a mix of both. What I loved about the script is that along with the fun and spooky elements, it also carries a meaningful message. It's emotional, entertaining, and something very different for me as an actor."
Story Set in Mysterious Jangipura
The film unfolds in a village called Jangipura, a location steeped in mystery and fear. At the heart of the story is Bhuri, a spirit whose painful history gradually transforms into a terrifying curse for the villagers. The narrative is expected to weave through supernatural situations and suspenseful developments, while also balancing lighter moments with emotional storytelling.
Horror, Comedy, and Emotional Moments
Apart from supernatural themes, 'GHUNGHAT' is anticipated to include elements of romance, fantasy, and emotional depth. The makers appear to aim for a film that transcends conventional horror, offering a multi-layered experience. The project has been directed by Rajiv S Ruia.
