This announcement places the original Malayalam version ahead of its Hindi counterpart. Just weeks earlier, Ajay Devgn and the makers of the Hindi remake announced their version would release on October 2, 2026. This means audiences will see Mohanlal's Drishyam 3 a full six months before the Hindi adaptation arrives in cinemas.
Teaser Video Hints at Returning Characters and Themes
Mohanlal shared a 43-second teaser video on X along with the release date announcement. The post carried a caption that read, "Years passed. The past didn't. #Drishyam3 | Worldwide Release | April 2, 2026."

Pathak claimed to have suffered financial losses due to Khanna's behavior and has already sent him a legal notice.
