Allu Arjun Initiates Legal Proceedings Over False Allegations
Renowned South Indian actor Allu Arjun has taken decisive legal action against a brand manager following her controversial claims in a recent podcast interview. The manager alleged that the Pushpa star maintains a strict 42-point list of dos and don'ts for anyone interacting with him, alongside comments about his supposedly large entourage.
Team Issues Strong Denial and Legal Notice
Allu Arjun's management team released an official statement on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, firmly refuting the viral allegations. The statement declared, "Certain recent comments made about Mr. Allu Arjun are completely baseless and untrue. He has always conducted himself with the utmost dignity and honour. We take these false allegations seriously. Our legal team is initiating defamation proceedings against those responsible. We request everyone to refrain from spreading unverified information."
The statement was echoed on social media by a team representative, who posted, "A recent video spreading baseless allegations about @alluarjun garu is completely false. The matter is being taken seriously and legal action is being initiated against those responsible. Kindly refrain from sharing unverified content."
Details of the Controversial Claims
The allegations originated from media salesperson Kaveri Baruah during an interview on the YouTube channel Sweekriti Talks. Baruah recounted her experience working on a campaign with Allu Arjun, asserting that his management provided a detailed 42-point guideline before the meeting.
According to her account, the rules included prohibitions such as:
- Not looking directly into the actor's eyes
- Maintaining a minimum distance of one arm's length
- Strictly no phone usage in his presence
Baruah claimed that when Allu Arjun entered the room, a security guard immediately confiscated her phone because it was in use. She further described South Indian stars as having "three tiers of managers" and larger entourages compared to Bollywood celebrities, suggesting Mumbai's film industry is more casual about celebrity interactions.
Broader Industry Context on Entourage Culture
This incident has reignited discussions about the entourage culture prevalent in the Indian film industry. Notably, director Sanjay Gupta recently highlighted on a talk show that some Bollywood stars travel with entourages of up to 30 people and require multiple vanity vans for different purposes.
Gupta elaborated:
- A personal van for private space
- A dedicated makeup and hair van
- A separate meeting van
- An exclusive gym van with accompanying staff
Similarly, filmmaker Karan Johar expressed concern about rising entourage costs, stating he has an "ethical problem" with actors who command high fees yet expect producers to cover extensive personal entourage expenses. Johar questioned the necessity of stars traveling with six to eight support staff members.
Allu Arjun's Professional Standing
Allu Arjun, one of Telugu cinema's highest-paid actors, was last seen in the blockbuster Pushpa: The Rule, which grossed over ₹1700 crore worldwide. Known for his disciplined work ethic and mass appeal, the actor has consistently maintained a professional public image throughout his career.
The legal action underscores the seriousness with which Allu Arjun's team views these allegations, aiming to protect his reputation from what they describe as completely fabricated claims. The case is expected to proceed through appropriate legal channels in the coming weeks.
