Adivi Sesh on 'Dacoit': Most Emotionally Layered Role

Adivi Sesh Unveils 'Dacoit: A Love Story' as His Most Emotionally Intense Film Project

Actor-filmmaker Adivi Sesh is poised to deliver a powerful cinematic experience with his forthcoming film 'Dacoit: A Love Story.' As excitement mounts before its theatrical debut, Sesh has openly declared that his role in this project represents the most layered and vivid character he has ever embodied throughout his career.

A Departure from Suspense-Driven Narratives

In a recent discussion with IANS, Sesh reflected on how 'Dacoit' distinguishes itself from his prior filmography, which is renowned for suspense and unexpected plot twists. He emphasized that this film shifts focus toward profound emotional exploration. "It's definitely my most vivid character," Sesh stated. "I wouldn't say it's completely character-driven, like an 'Arjun Reddy,' but it's a lot more character-driven than my previous films. I've always come from a filmography where I loved my twists. This is the first time I'm in love with the emotions of the film."

Exploring Emotional Complexities Beyond Crime

Sesh elaborated that 'Dacoit' moves away from conventional whodunit mysteries, instead delving into the intricate emotional dynamics between two former lovers. "So, who murdered whom is not a big question in this film. It's not about who has done it," he explained. "It's about emotions and the journey between two ex-lovers after 13 years. For us, it was very exciting to set it in a violent context—their journey isn't just two people reconnecting; it's two people amidst a robbery setup, surrounded by guns, bullets, fire, rain, heat, and desert."
