Ranveer Singh's reported abrupt departure from 'Don 3' has triggered a cascade of events that continues to unfold. The discord between him and Farhan Akhtar has deepened, escalating into legal proceedings and drawing the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) into the fray. Now, the saga has taken another surprising twist. FWICE's chief advisor, Ashoke Pandit, disclosed that the conflict raised enough concern within the industry that several prominent figures, including Aamir Khan, discreetly intervened behind the scenes to broker peace between the two parties.
Ashoke Pandit Reveals Aamir Khan's Behind-the-Scenes Role
Speaking to Hindi Rush, Ashoke Pandit said, “Many people from the industry, including Aamir Khan, had been trying to resolve the issue before it came to us. That also didn’t work. Today it’s Ranveer Singh. Tomorrow it could be someone else. This is what Excel is going through. If it was someone else, they would have gone to hell.”
Ashoke Pandit on the Rs 45 Crore Loss and Accountability
Ashoke also addressed the financial losses incurred due to such decisions, stating, “They would have sold their house. You may have ten valid reasons for not doing a film. But if money has been spent because you committed to the project, then those losses should be reimbursed.” Farhan has claimed that he lost Rs 45 crore after Ranveer walked out of Don 3. Ashoke emphasized that regardless of a star's stature, no one should be permitted to suddenly withdraw from a project they have already agreed to undertake.
Did Salman Khan Try to Play Peacemaker in Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar's Feud?
There were also reports suggesting that Salman Khan had personally intervened and attempted to resolve the dispute between Farhan and Ranveer, motivated by his close relationship with the Akhtar family. However, those claims were short-lived. Subsequent reports completely debunked the story, clarifying that Salman had no involvement in the matter whatsoever and that the peacemaker narrative was merely a rumor.
How Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar's 'Don 3' Dispute Turned into a Legal Battle
The 'Don 3' fallout between Ranveer and Farhan has escalated into one of the biggest controversies Bollywood has witnessed in recent times. Multiple online reports indicate that Ranveer exited the film due to creative differences with the makers, with several accounts also citing his frustration over repeated production delays and the absence of a finalized script. What many assumed would be a simple casting change has since spiraled into a full-blown legal confrontation. Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment has demanded Rs 45 crore in compensation, while FWICE initially issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer, though that directive has since been rescinded.
