According to a PTI report, both students faced significant financial and personal challenges, but their mothers' unwavering determination played a pivotal role in their achievements.

Jigar Nayak: From Odisha to IIT

Jigar Nayak, hailing from a small village in Odisha, lost his father at a young age. His mother, a daily-wage laborer, worked tirelessly to support his education. She moved to Kota with him, living in a modest room and managing expenses on a meager income. Jigar secured a rank in the IIT-JEE Advanced, earning a seat at IIT Kharagpur. He credited his mother's grit and sacrifice as the driving force behind his success.

Gunjan Kumar: Bihar Boy's Journey

Gunjan Kumar, from Bihar, faced similar hardships. His father, a farmer, struggled to make ends meet, and his mother took up stitching clothes to fund his coaching in Kota. Despite financial constraints, Gunjan cracked the IIT-JEE and secured admission to IIT Delhi. He said, "My mother never let me feel the lack of resources. Her belief in me kept me going."
