Spotlight on Youth Innovation for Viksit Bharat
On Tuesday, the campus hosted the 'Design for Bharat Youth Innovation Challenge (Odisha Zone)'. This event is a crucial part of the wider 'Design for Bharat-2026' (DFB'26) initiative, which operates under the MY Bharat umbrella. The core mission of this program is to empower the nation's youth by fostering innovation and leadership skills, directly contributing to the vision of a developed Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Rigorous Selection Process and State-Level Triumphs
The challenge witnessed enthusiastic participation from across Odisha. A total of 84 participants from the state registered for the DFB'26 initiative. Out of these registrations, 16 teams progressed to the stage where they presented their original ideas, designs, and prototype products before evaluators at the IIT Bhubaneswar event.
Following a rigorous review of these submissions, the judges selected seven teams to advance to the state-level round. From this elite group, the institute recommended three standout teams for the prestigious national-level exhibition.
Path to the National Stage in New Delhi
The journey for these top performers is set to continue on a grander scale. The team that emerges as the top performer from Odisha will earn the honor of representing the state at the national 'Design for Bharat' showcase. This premier national event is scheduled to be held at the iconic Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on August 12, 2026.
