In a significant academic achievement, four scholars from the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) have been selected for the highly competitive full-time doctoral fellowships offered by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). The fellowship will support their research for a period of up to two years.

Providing details about the award, CUSB Public Relations Officer Mohammad Mudassar Alam named the successful candidates. The awardees are Akash Soni and Nikita Kumari from the department of economic studies and policy, Divya Prakash from the teacher education department, and another scholar named Nikita from the psychology department.

Financial Support for Research

The fellowship provides substantial financial assistance to enable the scholars to focus entirely on their research. Each fellow will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 20,000. In addition to this, they are granted an annual contingency fund of Rs 20,000 to cover research-related expenses such as books, software, and fieldwork. This comprehensive financial package is crucial for facilitating uninterrupted and in-depth doctoral work.
