The Visakhapatnam-based AUM Free Yoga Organisation conducted a collective Surya Namaskar program comprising 108 rounds at the historic Konark Sun Temple in Odisha on Sunday. The event was inaugurated by Odisha Governor Dr. Kambhampati Haribabu, who served as the chief guest.
Yoga Guru Expresses Gratitude
Yoga Guru Dr. Chilaka Venkata Ramesh stated that organizing a collective Surya Namaskar program within the sacred premises of the Konark Sun Temple was a blessing earned through merits of previous births. On behalf of the yoga team, he expressed special gratitude to Governor Haribabu for providing the opportunity to conduct such a prestigious event.
Governor Highlights Solar Energy Importance
Governor Haribabu remarked that the collective Surya Namaskar program performed by yoga practitioners during the early morning hours at the sacred abode of the radiant Sun God infused everyone with renewed energy and positivity. He emphasized that along with practicing Surya Namaskars, it is the foremost duty of every citizen to utilize solar energy. He suggested various measures to reduce fuel consumption and urged everyone to adopt and promote the use of solar power.
The event underscored the significance of yoga and sustainable energy, encouraging participants to integrate both into daily life.
