Rajasthan Emerges as Top Performer in JEE Main 2026 Session-1 Results
The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the JEE Main 2026 Session-1 results on Monday, revealing a remarkable achievement for Rajasthan. The state produced three of the twelve students nationwide who scored a perfect 100 NTA score, the highest contribution from any single state in the country.
State Toppers and Their Preparation Journey
The Rajasthan toppers are Kabeer Chhillar, Chiranjib Kar, and Arnav Gautam. All three students prepared at the renowned Allen Institute in Kota, underscoring the city's reputation as a premier coaching hub for engineering entrance exams.
In addition to the perfect scorers, Jaipur-based students Shresth Jasoria and Daksh Sehra secured an NTA score of 99.99, becoming the national toppers for the General EWS and ST categories, respectively. Another notable achiever, Shubham Kumar from Bihar, also prepared in Kota and secured a perfect 100 NTA score.
Personal Stories of Dedication and Strategy
Kabeer Chhillar moved to Kota from Gurgaon in 2024 after completing Class 10, seeking expert guidance and national-level competition. "Hard work in the right direction is crucial," Chhillar emphasized. "I strengthened my preparation through a regular study schedule, consistent revision, and mock tests. After coming to Kota, instead of memorizing, I focused more on understanding the concepts in depth." He adopted a methodical approach by breaking topics into small parts, preparing short notes, and maintaining regular revision.
Chiranjib Kar relocated from Jajpur in Odisha to Kota in 2024 to prepare for the exam. "After Class 10, I came to Kota. My love for physics made the preparation journey easy, and the environment here helped a lot," Kar shared. "My younger brother also came to Kota with me and studies here, which provided crucial support during my preparation."
Arnav Gautam, a native of Kota, expressed surprise at his perfect score. "Though I prepared well, this result was unexpected. Now I will be able to focus better on my board exams and the second attempt for JEE Main, as practice sharpens my skills further," Gautam stated, highlighting his future plans.
