The Gujarat unit of the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) is taking a decisive stand against the scourge of narcotics in educational institutions. The student wing is launching a sweeping state-wide campaign titled 'Drug-Free Campus' starting this Friday, aiming to create awareness and foster commitment among the youth.

The ambitious initiative will see NSUI volunteers personally visiting over 1,000 educational campuses, including schools and colleges, across the state. The campaign is scheduled to run until January 20, ensuring a sustained effort to engage with students. Announcing the campaign at the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) headquarters on Thursday, NSUI state president Narendra Solanki emphasized the non-political nature of the fight against drugs. He stated that the drug menace is a critical social issue that requires collective effort from all sections of society to ensure campuses are safe and free from narcotics.

The launch event for this significant drive will be held at Thakorebhai Desai Hall in Ahmedabad. From this starting point, teams of dedicated NSUI volunteers will fan out across Gujarat to execute their mission.
