MPPSC Releases Provisional Answer Key for State Eligibility Test 2025

The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has officially released the provisional answer key for the State Eligibility Test (SET) 2025 on its official website. This crucial development allows candidates who participated in the examination to access the answer key, review their recorded responses, and calculate their probable scores with accuracy.

Examination Conducted Under SET Notification

The State Eligibility Test 2025 was conducted following Advertisement No. 01/2025 issued by MPPSC. The examination was organized in a single session across various examination centers throughout Madhya Pradesh. It featured objective-type questions divided into two distinct papers designed to assess candidates comprehensively.

Paper I focused on questions related to teaching and research aptitude, evaluating fundamental skills required for academic roles. Paper II covered optional subjects, allowing candidates to demonstrate expertise in their chosen fields. This examination serves the critical purpose of determining eligibility for prestigious positions such as Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship in higher education institutions across the state.

Important Dates of the Examination

The examination process follows a structured timeline that candidates should be aware of:

  • Advertisement issued: October 15, 2025
  • State Eligibility Test examination: March 1, 2026
  • Provisional answer key released: March 10, 2026

The comprehensive list of subjects includes Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Science and Applications, Criminology, Defence and Strategic Studies, Economics, English, Earth Science, Geography, Hindi, History, Home Science, Law, Library and Information Science, Biology, Management, Marathi, Mathematical Sciences, Music, Stage Art, Philosophy, Physical Education, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sanskrit, Sanskrit Traditional Subjects, Sociology, Urdu, Visual Arts, and Yoga.

Procedure to Raise Objections

Candidates who identify any discrepancies or errors in the provisional answer key have the opportunity to submit objections through the dedicated online facility available on the MPPSC website. This objection submission window remains open for a strict period of five days from the date the objection link becomes active on the commission's official platform.

While submitting objections, candidates must provide certified references with specific details including the name of the reference book, author, relevant page number, publication year, and edition. Supporting documents must be uploaded alongside the objection to ensure proper verification and consideration by the commission.

The commission has made it clear that objections submitted after the five-day period will not be accepted under any circumstances. Furthermore, no further correspondence regarding such late representations will be entertained, emphasizing the importance of timely action by candidates.

Marking Scheme and Score Calculation

The MP SET examination consists entirely of objective-type questions with a straightforward marking scheme. Candidates are awarded two marks for every correct response they provide. Importantly, there is no negative marking for incorrect answers, and unanswered questions do not lead to any deduction of marks, creating a favorable environment for candidates.

Candidates can easily estimate their expected score by multiplying the number of correct responses by two after thoroughly checking the provisional answer key against their recorded answers. This transparency in the evaluation process helps candidates gauge their performance accurately before the final results are declared.
