Application Fee Structure for Different Categories
The Karnataka Examinations Authority has established a tiered fee structure for KCET 2026 registration. Payment must be completed within the specified deadline to avoid disqualification.
- General category candidates need to pay Rs 500
- Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates pay Rs 250
- Candidates from outside Karnataka state pay Rs 750
- International candidates from abroad pay Rs 5,000
Complete KCET 2026 Examination Schedule
The Karnataka Common Entrance Test will take place over two days in April 2026. Each day features two examination shifts with specific timing arrangements.
April 23, 2026 will see Physics and Chemistry papers. April 24, 2026 will host Mathematics and Biology examinations. Both days follow the same timing pattern.
The morning shift runs from 10:30 AM to 11:50 AM. The afternoon shift operates from 2:30 PM to 3:50 PM. Each paper allows 1 hour and 20 minutes for completion.
Special note: The Kannada Language Test for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates occurs on April 22, 2026. This test only happens at centers in four specific districts: Bengaluru, Belagavi, Vijayapura, and Mangaluru.

The Karnataka Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET) is scheduled for May 23, 2026. The Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) will occur on May 14 and May 23, 2026.
Examinations for MSc Nursing, Master of Physiotherapy, and MSc Allied Health Sciences will take place on July 18, 2026. The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) is set for October 11, 2026.
