Understanding NTA Score Calculation
The NTA score represents a normalized assessment based on candidates' relative performance within their examination shift. Calculated on a scale of 0 to 100, this score does not correspond to the percentage of marks obtained. Instead, it provides a standardized measure that accounts for variations in difficulty across different examination sessions.
Important Note: The final ranks for Paper 2 will be determined and released only after both sessions of JEE Main 2026 are completed. According to existing policy, the best NTA score from either session will be considered for final ranking purposes, giving candidates an opportunity to improve their performance in the subsequent session.
