East Point School's Eastopia 2025 Celebrates Creativity and Collaboration in Kolkata
East Point School in Kolkata transformed into a vibrant hub of colour, creativity, and celebration as it successfully hosted Eastopia 2025, a two-day extravaganza dedicated to showcasing student talent and fostering teamwork. The event kicked off with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolising wisdom and new beginnings, led by chairperson Anil Singh, principal Arindam Kumar Bose, and academic advisor Keya Chakraborty.
Day One: Quiz Triumphs and Cultural Performances
The first day commenced with Inspiria Q 2.0, an inter-school quiz competition that saw participation from nine schools, including East Point School. After a preliminary round, six teams advanced to a five-round final featuring buzzer, audio-visual, and other interactive segments. East Point School emerged as the champion, with PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kakinara, and St Augustine Day School, Shyamnagar, securing the runner-up positions.
The cultural programme followed, opening with heart-warming performances by younger students, followed by captivating dance and song presentations by senior pupils. A certificate distribution ceremony recognised students for their literary talents, while achievers from the Japanese Song Competition and the quiz were specially honoured. The day concluded with a collaborative parent-student performance and an energetic rap presentation by the student band, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Day Two: Empowerment Acts and Guest Appearances
Festivities continued on the second day with a powerful women empowerment act, a vibrant Rajasthani folk dance, and melodious cultural songs. The presence of actor Sonamoni Saha as the chief guest, along with eminent principals from leading schools, added grace and prestige to the occasion, highlighting the community support for educational and cultural initiatives.
Overall, Eastopia 2025 served as a platform for students to demonstrate their skills, engage in healthy competition, and celebrate their achievements in a collaborative environment, reinforcing the school's commitment to holistic development.
