Dhanbad Pre-Board Exams Begin: 177 Schools Participate, DC Inspects
Dhanbad Pre-Board Exams Start Across 177 Schools

In a significant step towards preparing students for the crucial board examinations, the pre-board tests for Matriculation and Intermediate levels commenced across government schools in Dhanbad district on Wednesday. The initiative, seen as a dress rehearsal for the main exams, has been rolled out on a large scale to benefit thousands of students.

Widespread Participation Across the District

The examinations are being conducted in a total of 177 government schools across the district. This includes 141 schools for Matriculation (Class 10) students and 36 higher secondary schools for Intermediate (Class 12) pupils. The district administration has organized the tests to strictly follow the pattern of the actual board examinations, aiming to provide a real-time experience to the candidates.

The exams are being held in two separate shifts to manage the logistics effectively. Authorities have ensured that students receive question papers and answer sheets identical in format to those they will encounter in the final board exams. This meticulous arrangement is designed to help learners become comfortable with the examination environment, reducing anxiety and improving performance.

DC's Surprise Inspections and Student Interaction

To oversee the arrangements and boost the morale of students, the District Commissioner (DC) of Dhanbad, Aditya Ranjan, personally visited several institutions. His inspection tour included prominent schools like the BSS Girls’ School and the PM Shri Govt Plus Two High School (H.E. School), among others in the district.

During his visits, DC Ranjan engaged in detailed conversations with the students. He discussed their preparation strategies for the upcoming board exams and actively sought their suggestions for improving school facilities. The DC assured the students that their genuine concerns and demands would be addressed by the administration on a priority basis.

A Vision for Excellence and Recognition for Toppers

Outlining the broader vision behind the initiative, Aditya Ranjan stated that Chief Minister Hemant Soren envisions students from government schools excelling not just in board examinations but also in various competitive tests. The pre-board exams are a strategic step towards achieving this objective by identifying gaps and providing focused support.

In a move to incentivize and recognize merit, the DC made an important announcement. He declared that students who perform exceptionally well in these pre-board examinations will be publicly felicitated by the district administration. This gesture aims to motivate all students to strive for their best.

Furthermore, during his inspections, the DC directly interacted with students to get a first-hand assessment of their academic progress and the challenges they face. The launch of these pre-board exams across Dhanbad marks a proactive effort by the district administration to enhance the quality of government school education and ensure students are thoroughly prepared for their academic milestones.
