Detailed Examination Schedule for January 2026

The Tier I examination is slated to be held over two days in January 2026. The first day, January 10, will feature two shifts. The morning session, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, is designated for candidates applying for the posts of Primary Teacher, Junior Secretariat Assistant, and Lab Attendant. Each paper will have a duration of two hours.

The examinations for higher-level positions are scheduled for January 11. The morning shift from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM will cater to applicants for Assistant Commissioner, Principal, Vice Principal, and Post Graduate Teacher roles.

The final session on January 11, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, will be a comprehensive one. It will include papers for Trained Graduate Teacher and other miscellaneous teacher posts. Additionally, this shift will cover a wide array of other positions such as Librarian, Administrative Officer, Finance Officer, Junior Translator, Assistant Engineer, Assistant Section Officer, Senior Secretariat Assistant, Stenographer Grade I, and Stenographer Grade II.

In a significant update, CBSE has confirmed that the allotment of examination cities for all candidates is already complete. Aspirants can now check their assigned exam city by visiting the official CBSE examination portal. It is mandatory to log in using the registration number provided during application, which begins with the digits '2598', along with the password created at that time. The board has explicitly stated that the application number will not function for login purposes.

Candidates must note a critical policy: the board will not entertain any requests to change the allotted examination city. Furthermore, no separate individual intimation regarding the city or admit card will be sent to candidates, making it imperative to regularly check the official portal.
