The Bihar School Examination Board has taken a significant step forward in the teacher recruitment process by publishing the provisional answer key for the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test 2025. This development allows thousands of candidates who appeared for the examination to assess their performance and anticipate their results.
Important Dates and Download Process
The provisional answer key became available on November 24, 2025, covering both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of the STET examination. Candidates who participated in the test series between October 14 and November 16, 2025 can now access their response sheets and the corresponding answer keys through the official portal at bsebstet.org.
The download process requires candidates to use their registered credentials to log into the system. The portal provides comprehensive access to both the question-wise answer key and the individual's response sheet, enabling detailed comparison and score calculation.
Objection Window and Challenge Procedure
BSEB has established a structured objection mechanism that remains active until November 27, 2025. During this period, candidates who identify potential discrepancies in the provisional answer key can formally challenge the responses they believe to be incorrect.
The objection submission process mandates several important requirements. Candidates must provide supporting documentation from verified academic sources or textbooks to substantiate their challenges. Additionally, each objection requires payment of a prescribed fee, and all submissions must be completed through the online portal before the deadline expires.
The board has explicitly stated that late submissions will not be considered under any circumstances. Following the closure of the objection window, BSEB will conduct a thorough review of all valid challenges before publishing the final answer key.
Examination Structure and Qualifying Marks
The STET 2025 examination was conducted as a computer-based test spanning multiple shifts over a month-long schedule from October 14 to November 16. Paper 1 targeted aspiring teachers for Classes 9 and 10, while Paper 2 was designed for prospective educators of Classes 11 and 12.
Each paper contained 150 multiple-choice questions, with each correct response earning one mark. Importantly, the examination follows a no-negative-marking policy, meaning incorrect answers do not deduct marks from the total score.
The category-wise qualifying marks establish different thresholds for success. General category candidates require 75 marks out of 150, while BC, EBC, and SC/ST/PwD categories need 68.25, 63.75, and 60 marks respectively to qualify for teacher eligibility in Bihar.
The final results will be prepared based on the conclusive answer key that incorporates all validated corrections from the objection process. This systematic approach ensures fairness and accuracy in the evaluation of all examination participants.
