Bathinda's Mission Pragati: Free Coaching for Govt Jobs

Bathinda District Administration Launches 'Mission Pragati' for Student Career Growth

The Bathinda district administration has launched a new initiative to support students in their career-building efforts. This program, named 'Mission Pragati', focuses on providing professional coaching and counselling. It aims to prepare students for various competitive examinations and help them secure government jobs, including positions in the Punjab Civil Services (PCS).

Expert Guidance and Interactive Sessions

Under Mission Pragati, subject experts and officials have been invited to lead coaching sessions and interact directly with students. On Thursday, Bathinda Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Harjit Singh, a 2010-batch IPS officer, shared valuable insights with the participants. He emphasized the importance of serious preparation for competitive exams.

DIG Harjit Singh advised students to not only study course materials and general knowledge books but also to develop strong interactive skills. The police department has made additional efforts by providing physical training for those aspiring to join the state police force.

Empowering Students from Humble Backgrounds

Bathinda Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman is the brain behind this initiative. The primary goal of Mission Pragati is to enable students from economically modest backgrounds to access quality coaching. Many such students cannot afford expensive private coaching classes. This program offers them a chance to crack competitive exams and secure stable government jobs.

Over 100 students applied for the program after a written test. From these applicants, at least 30 aspirants have been shortlisted for the coaching sessions. The program is being conducted at the district library in Bathinda, providing a conducive learning environment.

Mission Pragati represents a significant step towards bridging the gap between aspiring students and their career goals. By offering free, professional guidance, the district administration hopes to boost employment opportunities and empower the youth of Bathinda.
