The department identified that the non-availability of institutional IDs for several primary and newly-established schools was preventing eligible children with disabilities from applying. To provide an immediate workaround for the affected students, the department has allowed a special provision. Children with disabilities studying in classes I to V in institutions lacking portal IDs can now apply directly through the SSEPD's official web portal at ssepd.gov.in. Expedited Verification and Disbursal Instructions
To ensure the extended deadline does not delay the final disbursement of funds, the department has set a strict verification schedule for district authorities.
