UPRTOU Central Library in Prayagraj Embraces Full Digital Transformation

The Central Library of Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU), located in Prayagraj, has officially completed its transition to a fully digital platform. This significant upgrade was announced on Tuesday during a special program focused on digital resources and collections at the open university. The move is designed to substantially enhance access to academic and research materials for students and scholars affiliated with the institution.

Enhanced Access for Research Scholars

Vice-Chancellor Professor Satyakam highlighted the direct benefits of this initiative, noting that more than 100 research scholars at the university will gain improved access to critical resources. He encouraged research students to maximize their use of the new digital facility to strengthen their academic and research endeavors. Through this advanced platform, users can now access a wide array of national and international digital repositories around the clock, 24×7.

Key Digital Platforms Available

The Vice-Chancellor specified that students and researchers will be able to effectively utilize prominent platforms such as Shodhganga, e-PG Pathshala, the National Digital Library of India (NDLI), DOAJ, and INFLIBNET. These resources are expected to play a pivotal role in supporting advanced studies and innovative research projects.

During the announcement event, a representative from NODAL addressed various queries raised by participants, fostering an interactive environment. Students and faculty members actively participated in the session, demonstrating strong interest in the new digital capabilities.
