MSU NSS Unit Organizes Cleanliness Drive at Kotna Beach in Vadodara
The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of the Faculty of Education and Psychology at Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) in Vadodara took a proactive step towards environmental stewardship by organizing a comprehensive cleanliness drive at Kotna Beach on the city's outskirts this past Sunday. This initiative aimed to foster a cleaner coastal environment while instilling values of social responsibility among participants.
Student-Led Effort with Strong Community Collaboration
A dedicated team of 24 enthusiastic students spearheaded the drive under the leadership of Sushma Kamble, the NSS programme officer of the faculty. They were ably supported by Chetan Joshi, ensuring the event was well-coordinated and impactful. The volunteers not only collected significant amounts of waste littering the beach but also engaged directly with local shopkeepers and residents to raise awareness about the critical importance of maintaining cleanliness in public spaces.
