KMCLU Lucknow Commences Admissions for 2026-27 Academic Session
Lucknow's Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University (KMCLU) officially opened admissions for the 2026-27 academic year on Friday, marking a significant expansion in its educational offerings. The university is now accepting applications across a comprehensive range of disciplines, including arts, humanities, social sciences, science, commerce, engineering, law, and pharmacy.
New Courses in Artificial Intelligence and Biotechnology Introduced
In a strategic move to align with contemporary educational demands, KMCLU has launched new specialized courses in artificial intelligence (AI) and biotechnology for the upcoming session. These additions significantly enrich the university's already diverse curriculum, which thoughtfully integrates Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), SWAYAM online learning platforms, and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs).
Vice Chancellor Prof Ajay Taneja highlighted the institution's commitment to providing a holistic and modern learning environment. "The university is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities designed to foster academic excellence and personal growth," he stated. These facilities include smart classrooms with advanced technology, cutting-edge laboratories specifically for IoT and AI research, dedicated media labs, and extensive, well-stocked libraries.
Comprehensive Academic Programs and Modern Campus Amenities
KMCLU offers an extensive portfolio of academic programs for the 2026-27 session. The university provides 48 distinct undergraduate courses, 28 postgraduate courses, three undergraduate diploma programs, four postgraduate diploma courses, four certificate programs, and PhD opportunities spanning 20 academic departments.
The undergraduate catalog includes BA, BSc, BTech, BCA, BBA, BCom, BPES, BEd, BA-LLB, LLB, BPharm, and DPharm degrees. At the postgraduate level, students can pursue MA, MSc, MTech, MCA, MCom, MBA, and LLM programs, alongside various diploma options.
Beyond academics, KMCLU emphasizes overall student development through personality development programs, regular yoga and wellness sessions, national and international seminars, vibrant cultural activities, and competitive sports events. The campus features separate, secure hostels for male and female students, fully equipped gymnasiums, and comprehensive medical support services.
Admission Criteria and Selection Process
The university has established clear admission pathways for its programs. Admissions for professional courses including BBA, BCA, MBA, MCA, BTech (all specializations), and pharmacy programs will be determined through a written entrance examination or relevant national test scores such as CUET, NTA assessments, or JEE. All other academic programs at KMCLU will follow a merit-based selection process, evaluating applicants' academic records and qualifications.
