Isabella Thoburn College Hosts Grand Alumnae Reunion in Lucknow
Former students of Isabella Thoburn Degree College in Lucknow came together for a memorable alumnae meet on Saturday, rekindling old friendships and reminiscing about their college days. The event saw participation from graduates spanning batches from 1983 to 2023, who gathered on the campus to reconnect with their former teachers and classmates.
Career-Shaping Experiences and Campus Memories
Deepti Tanya Khushal, from the 2006 batch, highlighted how the campus environment played a crucial role in building her confidence. "The supportive atmosphere here helped me grow personally and professionally," she said. Noopur Srivastava, a 2001 batch alumna, praised the college's emphasis on perfection in teaching, particularly in lab practicals. "This focus on detail and excellence significantly shaped my career path," she added.
The reunion was filled with laughter as attendees shared stories of pranks and fond memories from their student years. Mahima Bajpayee, now a fitness coach from the 2000 batch, recalled a humorous incident during Diwali when she burst a 'sutli' bomb inside a dustbin. "The teachers immediately knew it was me—I was always the mischievous one!" she said with a smile.
Nostalgic Tales and Campus Traditions
Nidhi Divakar Sinha, from the 1995 batch, remembered a beloved campus tradition where the peon would bring samosas during classes. "We sometimes paid extra for those delicious treats, and it became a cherished part of our daily routine," she reminisced. Other students also spoke about the meals they enjoyed between lectures and the camaraderie that defined their college experience.
