ACPC Gujarat MBA Admissions 2026-27: 214 Seats Under 25% Government Quota Filled
In a significant development for higher education in Gujarat, the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) has officially launched the admission process for the 25% government quota seats in MBA programmes. This initiative targets four prestigious Centres of Excellence (CoE) institutions across the state for the academic year 2026-27. The process, which began recently, has garnered substantial interest from aspiring management students.
Registration and Merit Preparation Details
According to an official notification released by ACPC, a total of 847 students successfully registered for the admission process. This high number of registrations underscores the growing demand for quality MBA education in Gujarat. Against these registrations, there are 214 seats available under the government quota, indicating a competitive selection environment.
Following the registration phase, the merit preparation process was meticulously conducted as per established rules. This involved panels of experts appointed by ACPC, who oversaw key evaluation components such as personal interviews (PI) and group discussions (GD). Out of the registered candidates, 709 participated in these assessments, demonstrating active engagement in the selection procedure.
Final Merit List and Round 2 Admissions
After thorough evaluation, a total of 706 candidates were included in the final merit list. This list serves as the basis for seat allotment in the subsequent rounds of admissions. For Round 2, online choice-filling was conducted between April 6 and April 8, exclusively for candidates listed in the merit. This step allowed students to prioritize their preferred institutions and programmes.
The result of the Round 2 seat allotment is scheduled to be declared on April 10. During this announcement, all 214 available seats will be allocated to deserving candidates based on their merit ranks and choice preferences. This phase is crucial as it determines the final placement of students in the MBA programmes.
Admission Confirmation Process
Candidates who are allotted seats in Round 2 must confirm their admission by paying a token fee online. This payment can be made through their individual login accounts on the ACPC portal between April 10 and April 13. Timely confirmation is essential to secure the allocated seat and proceed with the enrollment process for the 2026-27 academic year.
The ACPC's structured approach ensures transparency and fairness in the admission process, benefiting students aspiring to pursue MBA degrees at Gujarat's top-tier institutions. This initiative aligns with broader educational goals to enhance professional course accessibility in the state.
