Prayagraj Governor and Chancellor Anandiben Patel inaugurated 25 new academic facilities at Prof Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University on Saturday, delivering a powerful address that emphasized the critical need for quality education, innovation, and strong moral values among students.
Focus on Nation-Building and Innovation
Addressing students and faculty members, Governor Patel urged the youth to think beyond personal ambitions and actively contribute to nation-building. "Students must focus on innovation, research, and creativity instead of limiting themselves to conventional employment opportunities," she stated, highlighting that the youth represent the aspirations of millions across the country.
She stressed that educational infrastructure must not only be modern but also effectively utilized, with particular attention to laboratories to promote hands-on, practical learning experiences. The governor called for significant improvements in the evaluation system to make it more transparent and outcome-oriented, ensuring that assessments truly reflect student capabilities and learning outcomes.
Balancing Technology with Ethical Values
Highlighting global challenges and opportunities, Governor Patel underlined the importance of self-reliance and noted India's rapid progress in cutting-edge fields like artificial intelligence and semiconductor technology. "Such advancements reflect the country's growing technological strength and confidence on the global stage," she remarked with evident pride.
However, she emphasized the crucial need to balance technological growth with ethical foundations, urging students to remain morally strong while developing technical skills. "The present decade is a blend of challenges and opportunities, and students must not only adapt to changing times but also lead the transformation," Patel asserted during her comprehensive address.
Parental Involvement and Infrastructure Inspection
The governor also encouraged parents to maintain active involvement in their children's educational journeys and consistently monitor their academic progress. Following her address, she personally inspected the newly developed facilities, including state-of-the-art laboratories and smart classrooms, describing them as essential components for the holistic development of students.
University Leadership Responds
Vice-Chancellor Akhilesh Kumar Singh expressed that the governor's guidance has served as a constant source of inspiration for the university's growth across education, research, and innovation domains. He noted that the newly inaugurated facilities would significantly strengthen academic infrastructure in alignment with the National Education Policy, ultimately helping students develop essential skills in research, analysis, and innovation.
These 25 new academic facilities represent a substantial enhancement to the university's capabilities, providing students with improved resources to excel in their educational pursuits and contribute meaningfully to society's advancement.
