AKTU Revolutionizes Result Declaration with Parallel Evaluation System
In a significant move to enhance academic efficiency, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) in Lucknow has introduced a parallel evaluation system that promises to drastically reduce the waiting time for semester results. Students affiliated with AKTU will no longer face prolonged delays, as the university aims to declare results within three weeks from the 2025–26 academic session onward.
New Strategy for Faster Result Processing
The university's examination cell has devised a comprehensive plan to implement this new approach. Under the parallel evaluation system, evaluation of answer sheets begins while exams are still ongoing. This means that by the time students complete their final paper, results for the initial exams will already be announced. Deepak Nagaria, AKTU's controller of examinations, emphasized that this strategy enables results to be released simultaneously during the examination period itself.
"The university administration has made a major change in the examination system this time and is prepared to release results during the examination period. Students will start receiving their results within a month of completing their exams," Nagaria stated. The target is to declare all results within a month, a stark improvement from previous practices.
Current Implementation and Timeline
AKTU's semester examinations are currently being held from December 23 to January 31. To kickstart the new system, answer sheets for exams conducted so far have already been scanned, and digital evaluation has commenced. The university has announced that evaluation of December exams will be completed, and results will be declared starting next week. This proactive measure is part of a broader effort to streamline the result-declaration process and ensure timely academic outcomes.
Addressing Past Delays and Student Concerns
In recent years, AKTU's examination system has faced criticism due to significant delays in result declarations. During the last academic session, results for several courses were declared three months late, causing considerable difficulties for students. Many had to visit the university repeatedly, disrupting their academic and professional plans. In response, the administration has cleared all pending results and introduced comprehensive changes to the evaluation and result-declaration processes from the new session.
The adoption of parallel evaluation is expected to mitigate such issues by:
- Reducing the overall time required for result processing.
- Enhancing transparency and efficiency in the examination system.
- Providing students with quicker feedback on their academic performance.
This initiative aligns with AKTU's commitment to improving student experiences and maintaining high standards in technical education. By leveraging digital tools and strategic planning, the university aims to set a new benchmark for result declarations in Indian higher education institutions.
