The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu, has officially announced the TN SSLC Result 2026 today. Students who appeared for the Class 10 public examinations can now view their provisional marksheets online via the official website, tnresults.nic.in. The result link became active at 9:30 am for candidates across the state. To access their scores, students need to enter their registration number and date of birth.
Overall Pass Percentage Sees a Slight Increase
This year, Tamil Nadu recorded an overall pass percentage of 94.31 per cent in the SSLC examinations. This marks a slight increase of 0.15 percentage points compared to last year's overall performance. Approximately 8.71 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 board examinations, which were conducted from March 11 to April 6 by the Directorate of Government Examinations.
Girls Outperform Boys in TN SSLC Examinations
Female students have once again outperformed their male counterparts in the TN SSLC examinations this year. According to official data released by the board, girls secured a pass percentage of 96.47 per cent, while boys recorded 92.15 per cent. The performance gap between genders remains evident in the overall results announced today. Students can now download their subject-wise marks and qualifying status through official portals and digital platforms, including DigiLocker.
Pudukottai Emerges as the Top-Performing District
Among all districts, Pudukottai achieved the highest pass percentage in the Tamil Nadu SSLC Result 2026. The district recorded an overall success rate of 97.5 per cent in the Class 10 examinations this year. The state also witnessed strong performances at the school level, with a total of 5,171 schools achieving a 100 per cent pass result in the SSLC examinations. The board released district and school-wise statistics along with the declaration of results this morning.
Multiple Platforms for Accessing Marks
In addition to tnresults.nic.in, students can check their provisional scorecards through dge.tn.gov.in, dge1.tn.nic.in, and dge2.tn.nic.in. The Directorate of Government Examinations has arranged multiple websites to help students avoid delays caused by heavy traffic during result hours. Candidates can also access digital marksheets through DigiLocker and UMANG by signing in with registered mobile numbers or Aadhaar-linked accounts. For those facing internet connectivity issues, results can be received via SMS by sending TNBOARD10 followed by date of birth and registration number to 9282232585.
Provisional Marksheets Available Online
The online scorecards released today are provisional in nature. Students will need to collect their original marksheets and certificates from their respective schools after the official distribution process is completed. The provisional marksheet contains important details such as student name, registration number, date of birth, school name, subject-wise marks, total score, and pass status. Candidates have been advised to carefully verify all details after downloading the result online.
