Hyderabad Student Achieves Perfect 100 in JEE Main 2026 First Session

The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared results for the first session of JEE Main 2026 on Monday, revealing outstanding performances across India. In a remarkable achievement, Vivan Sharad Mahiswari, a student from Telangana, secured a perfect 100 NTA score, emerging as the state topper.

Nationwide Excellence in Engineering Entrance Exam

Across the country, twelve students achieved the coveted perfect percentile in this highly competitive engineering entrance examination. This elite group includes two students from neighboring Andhra Pradesh, showcasing the continued dominance of southern states in technical education.

Vivan Sharad Mahiswari, a 17-year-old student from Narayana Educational Institutions in Hyderabad, expressed both surprise and satisfaction with his exceptional performance. "I didn't think much while writing the exam. I knew it went well," Vivan told media. "But after analyzing my answer script, I realized I had a chance of scoring 100."

Overcoming Preparation Challenges Through Mentorship

The young achiever credited his teachers and mentors for helping him bridge gaps in his preparation. "I studied in a CBSE school and didn't have early exposure to JEE like many others," Vivan explained. "My mentors supported me with extra effort, which helped me achieve this score."

Looking ahead, the determined student has set his sights on repeating this outstanding performance in the upcoming JEE Advanced examination, which serves as the gateway to prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

Educational Experts Analyze State Performance

Educational leaders emphasized that having only one perfect scorer from Telangana does not indicate any decline in the state's academic performance. "The state has actually improved, with more students scoring above 280 and 290," stated P Sindhura Narayana, director of Narayana Educational Institutions.

She further highlighted the institute's broader success, noting that their educational group produced five state toppers across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Goa in this JEE Main session.

Final Rankings Pending Second Session Results

The NTA will release final rankings after the completion of the second session of JEE Main 2026. These comprehensive rankings will be calculated based on the best scores from both examination sessions, providing students with multiple opportunities to showcase their capabilities.

This year's results continue to demonstrate the intense competition and high standards of India's premier engineering entrance examination, with perfect scorers representing diverse educational backgrounds and preparation approaches across multiple states.
