RBSE Achieves Historic Milestone with Record-Breaking Class 10 Results Announcement

In an unprecedented administrative feat, the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has rewritten its own history by releasing the Class 10 board examination results on Tuesday. This marks the first instance where the Class 10 results have been declared ahead of the Class 12 results, and remarkably, in the month of March itself.

Setting a New National Benchmark for Speed and Efficiency

The announcement came a mere 24 days after the completion of the examinations, establishing a new record for the RBSE. Traditionally, results have been published between late May and mid-June, making this rapid turnaround a significant departure from past practices. According to board officials, this swift process now sets a national benchmark, surpassing the pace previously held by the Bihar Board.

"This turnaround of 23 to 24 days is being hailed as a monumental administrative accomplishment in terms of speed, transparency, and operational efficiency," emphasized an RBSE official. The results were formally released by Education Minister Madan Dilawar from the RBSE headquarters located in Ajmer.

Impressive Statistics Highlight Educational Progress

Nearly 10.6 lakh students registered for the Class 10 examinations, which were conducted from February 12 to 28, with approximately 10.5 lakh candidates actually appearing. The overall success rate saw about 9.9 lakh students passing, culminating in an impressive pass percentage of 94.2%. This figure reflects a notable advancement for Rajasthan's educational framework, indicating robust improvements in academic outcomes.

A detailed analysis of the results reveals a gender disparity in performance. Boys recorded a pass percentage of 93.6%, while girls excelled with a rate of 94.9%, showing a slight enhancement from the previous year's overall pass percentage, which was over 93%.

Division-Wise Breakdown and Girl Students' Excellence

The distribution of divisions further underscores the academic achievements:

  • Over 5.5 lakh students secured first division grades.
  • Approximately 3.6 lakh students achieved second division.
  • More than 72,000 students received third division.

Girl students particularly shone in the first division category, with over 2.8 lakh securing top marks, highlighting their academic prowess and dedication.

Simultaneous Release of Classes 5 and 8 Results with New Grading System

Adding to the day's accomplishments, the education department also announced the results for Classes 5 and 8 on the same day, contributing to the overall success narrative of the state's education system. The pass percentage for Class 8 stood at nearly 97%, while Class 5 achieved an impressive 97.8%.

This academic year, the board introduced a revolutionary grading system for Classes 5 and 8, replacing the conventional numerical scoring method. The new system awards grades from A to E based on performance, reflecting a modern and holistic approach to student assessment.

For Class 5, the grade distribution was as follows:

  1. Grade A: Awarded to nearly 35.9% of students scoring between 81 and 100 marks.
  2. Grade B: Given to 54.6% scoring 61 to 80 marks.
  3. Grade C: Nearly 7.3% scoring 41 to 60 marks.
  4. Grade D: 0.01% scoring 33 to 40 marks.
  5. Grade E: Over 2.2% scoring between 0 and 32 marks.

In Class 8, the grading breakdown included:
