The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially announced the schedule for the NEET-PG 2026 examination. According to the notification released on July 1, 2026, the postgraduate medical entrance exam will be conducted on August 30, 2026, in computer-based mode across various examination centres nationwide.

The online registration process began on July 1, 2026, and eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official NBEMS website. The application window remains open until July 21, 2026, at 11:55 pm.

Key Dates for NEET-PG 2026

NBEMS has released a detailed schedule for the examination process. The information bulletin was made available from July 1, 2026, at 4 pm, and online applications opened at 5 pm the same day. The last date to apply is July 21, 2026. Candidates will receive test city intimation on August 11, 2026, and the exam will be held on August 30, 2026. The results are expected to be declared by September 30, 2026.

NBEMS advises all candidates to carefully read the information bulletin before filling out the application form. The bulletin contains comprehensive details regarding eligibility criteria, fee structure, examination scheme, instructions for candidates, and other important guidelines.

Application Process and Deadlines

NBEMS has urged candidates not to wait until the last date to complete the registration process. The board has made it clear that no requests for accepting applications after the closure of the application window will be entertained under any circumstances. Aspirants are therefore advised to complete the application process well before the deadline to avoid any last-minute issues.

Regarding test city allocation, NBEMS has clarified that it will not follow a first-come, first-served system. The board stated that submitting the application early does not provide any preferential claim for allotment of a particular test city, state, or examination centre.
