Kanwalnain Singh, a student of Government Model Senior Secondary School in Mohali, has emerged as the district topper in the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Class X examinations. He secured an impressive 98.4% marks, scoring 492 out of 500.
Academic Excellence
The results, declared by the PSEB on Friday, saw Kanwalnain excel in all subjects. He scored a perfect 100 in Mathematics and Science, and 99 in Social Studies. His English and Punjabi scores were 97 and 96 respectively.
Reaction and Future Plans
Kanwalnain attributed his success to his teachers and parents. He aims to pursue a career in engineering and is preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). His father, a farmer, and mother, a homemaker, expressed immense pride in his achievement.
School and District Performance
The school principal, Rajinder Kaur, congratulated Kanwalnain and highlighted the school's consistent performance. Overall, the Mohali district recorded a pass percentage of 98.2%, with girls outperforming boys by a margin of 0.5%.
PSEB Class X Results Overview
Statewide, the PSEB Class X pass percentage stood at 97.8%. A total of 2.5 lakh students appeared for the exams. The board also announced that supplementary exams will be held in August for those who could not clear the exams.
