Jaipur celebrated remarkable achievements in the Class 12 CBSE board examinations as results were declared on Wednesday. Girls emerged as the top scorers across various streams, attributing their success to disciplined study routines, unwavering family support, and perseverance through personal challenges.
Top Scorers and Their Achievements
According to results shared by schools, Prisha Kashyap of Jayshree Periwal High School secured an impressive 98.8% in the Commerce stream. From Cambridge Court World School, Nehal achieved 98.6% in Humanities, while Chayanika Mandal scored 98.8% in Science. Their stories highlight dedication and strategic preparation.
Prisha Kashyap: Quality Over Quantity
Prisha Kashyap credited her motivation to the belief that "someone somewhere was wishing for the opportunities that she currently has," which kept her focused. She followed a "quality over quantity" strategy, studying about two hours daily. Her father's guidance in building a strong foundation in Accountancy during Class 11 was instrumental. After her half-yearly accountancy marks fell below expectations, she submitted her phone to her coaching teacher for an entire month to avoid distractions. "I took it back only when I was satisfied with the improvements," she said, gradually reducing social media dependence and enjoying her studies.
Chayanika Mandal: Mock Tests and Conceptual Clarity
For Chayanika Mandal, regular mock tests and strengthening conceptual clarity through NCERT textbooks were key to her 98.8% in Science. She credited her father, a cancer researcher at the University of Rajasthan, for inspiring her interest in the subject. "Studying science requires fluency in mathematics, as it is fundamental to the field. I practised all the mock tests my teachers gave along with NCERT, which helped me gain confidence," she explained.
Nehal: Battling Health Issues and Staying Alone
Nehal prepared for exams while battling anaemia and digestive health issues, living alone in Jaipur as her parents, both government doctors, are posted in Barmer. In September, after her half-yearly exam, she felt sick and fainted at school. Hospitalised for nearly two months, she continued her preparation. Her determination paid off with 98.6% in Humanities.
Other Notable Achievers
Vibhu Sharma of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh Vidyalaya scored 96.2% after switching from Science to Commerce in Class 11. Vanshay Ajmani of Jayshree Periwal Global School secured 98.6% in Commerce, while Bidisha Tiwari scored 96% in Humanities with a perfect 100 in Sociology.
