CBSE Class 12 Results Announced
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Class 12 results for the academic year 2024-2025. Students who appeared for the examinations can now check their scores on the official CBSE websites: cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in. The results were announced on May 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM IST.
Overall Pass Percentage
This year, the overall pass percentage for Class 12 is 87.98%, which is a slight increase from last year's 87.33%. Girls have once again outperformed boys, with a pass percentage of 91.52% compared to boys' 84.67%. The Trivandrum region recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.98%, followed by Chennai and Bengaluru.
How to Check Results
Students can follow these steps to view their results:
- Visit the official CBSE website or the results portal.
- Click on the link for Class 12 results.
- Enter your roll number, school number, and admit card ID.
- Submit the details to view your scorecard.
It is advisable to download and print the scorecard for future reference. The board has also made the results available via the DigiLocker app.
Subject-wise Performance
In terms of subject performance, the highest pass percentage was recorded in English Core (99.8%), followed by Political Science (98.5%) and Physics (97.2%). Mathematics saw a pass percentage of 95.1%, while Chemistry recorded 96.3%.
Compartment Exams
Students who did not clear one or more subjects can apply for the compartment examinations. The application process will begin soon on the official website. The compartment exams are scheduled to be held in July 2025.
